Greetings to our friends in Iceland

From class 2C

Hello, our friends in Iceland!!!

Do you know what? This morning, 19 December, we woke up and we had a very big surprise!!!! The snow!!!! Everything is so white and soft....we are very happy...and now, while writing to you, it’s snowing outside!!!!!! Here in Venice it isn’t usual to see so much snow!!!! Lots of our classmates have stayed at home. There’s a lot of snow on the streets and in Venice there’s snow and high tide, too!!!! It’s a wonderful sight!!! We’re looking forward to going out and playing with snowballs!!! It seems like to be in Iceland!!!

Hi, I’m Lorenzo from class 2c. Christmas is a happy holiday for me. Do you like Christmas? It’s my favourite holiday because I like the snow and I can ski in the mountains. Do you like skiing?

I wish you a merry Christmas and I’m looking forward to receiving your news. LORENZO

Hi, I’m Sara from 2 C . Today is a special day for me because it’s snowing and in a few days it’s Christmas!!! Christmas with the snow is what I have always dreamt!! Merry Xmas and Happy New Year!

From class 2A

Hello!! I’m Elia. I’d like to write about my favourite festivity. Christmas in Italy is a very happy time because all the people are with their families.

We make the Christmas tree and lots of decorations.

We have a big dinner together with our relatives. All over our city, people light up their homes with colourful lights!

And you? Do you spend your Xmas holidays at home with your families?

Hello I’m Giada.

Christmas is near and this year we’re going to celebrate it with the snow!!! It’s snowing here in Venice!! And this is a great event for us.

Here in Italy we also prepare the crib.

The day before Xmas, we have fish or meat with lots of vegetables.

All the children go to bed before midnight because Father Xmas comes down the chimney with lots of presents. Now we’re older and we don’t believe that!!! And you?

Best wishes and a Happy New Year!!!!!

Looking forward to receiving your answers

Best Wishes from Campalto, Italy
